Guidance on family law matters

At important moments in your life, it is essential that matters are properly and carefully documented. Our family law specialists provide expert advice combined with personal attention. We take the time to understand your wishes and circumstances and translate them into clear, legally sound arrangements. This gives you certainty, both now and in the future. We can assist you with, among other things, the following family law services:

Are you getting married but wish to make arrangements regarding your assets? A prenuptial agreement allows you to decide what will be jointly owned and what will remain private. We guide you in preparing clear and balanced agreements that reflect your wishes.

If you are planning to live together, it is advisable to record your arrangements. In a cohabitation agreement, we set out matters such as the division of costs, ownership of assets and any financial consequences should the relationship come to an end. This ensures that your arrangements are documented with care.

Following a death, we assist with the legal administration of the estate. We prepare grants of probate and certificates of executorship, arrange the distribution of legacies, determine monetary claims and prepare European Certificates of Succession.

A will records how your estate is to be distributed after your death. We advise you on the various options and ensure that your wishes are documented carefully and in a legally correct manner, tailored to your personal circumstances.

Estate planning enables you to look ahead. We help you transfer your assets to the next generation in the most tax-efficient and legally appropriate way. In doing so, we take your personal circumstances, wishes and the applicable legislation into account. As part of estate planning, we also advise on making gifts at an appropriate time, for example to children or grandchildren.

Advice plays an important role in family law. We work with you to consider your personal circumstances and the choices you face, even where this does not immediately result in the preparation of a notarial deed.

Lubbers & Dijk guides you through family law matters with careful attention to both legal certainty and your personal circumstances.
